Practice of “Reptile” Approach Raises Alarm among Defense Lawyers

The reptile approach, practiced by plaintiff’s lawyers and targeted at jurors, makes them feel psychologically threatened and uncomfortable. This approach pushes the jury into thinking that the defendant’s conduct could have affected them or someone they have known personally.
